About the Team
RTB’s triathlon team started as a group of 7 elite women in 2004 and grew to 160 men and women in 2007.  While our results show a fair number of age-group placings and overall race wins, we’re most proud of the fact that we are a team of diverse abilities and experiences.  Everyone, truly, has a place on this team.

You might have noticed us out in force last year.  Our members raced more than 550 times in 86 different races - triathlons, duathlons, swim meets and open water swims, bike races, and running races.  You might have noticed, too, that our coaches train and race right alongside the team members...and that they aren’t shabby athletes, either!  What we value most, though, is when people notice our positive atmosphere, attitude, hospitality, integrity and pursuit of excellence.  At the end of the day, it’s those values and their effect on our community that are most important to us.

The mission of the team mirrors the Mission, Vision, and Values of Raise the Bar.  Our priority is the people who trust us with their Triathlon training, time, and talent.  We take our commitment to them very seriously and work very hard to offer benefits, opportunities, and programs that will make their triathlon season the best experience possible.  Because when triathletes are training with efficiency, information, and support, they bring a better person back to their families, friends, and employers.....and that’s what’s most important, isn’t it?

There are a few programs that are unique benefits to this team that you might not find anywhere else:

Bike Rentals:  Raise the Bar has a number of time trial bikes (bikes with Aerobars) that are available for team member use during the training and racing season .

Raise the Hope:  The Hope Heart Institute and Kagome Juice has partnered with RTB to offer a special comprehensive educational program to women who would like to lose weight and/or improve their health and fitness. Raise the Bar gives these women the training support to cross the finish line this year in great health.  Learn more here.

TFB - The Final Battle RTB’s 16-week fitness-gaining contest for men who are 20 or more pounds overweight and who are ready to put their high-revving engine on a sleeker chassis.   The contest officiated by Personal Trainer, Boston Marathoner, and triathlete Karen Nolting, .
