RAISE THE BAR

R
Special Programs

We’ve said it before and will keep on saying it -Raise the Bar is about PEOPLE. Triathlon is a fine tool for us to draw people together, but rest assured, RTB will always be about people.  And the more we hang around with the finest athletes, families, business owners, sponsors, and coaches, the more we realize that one generic program doesn’t really suit every person.  We need to create different opportunities to reach everyone.

This is why we have a passion (OBSESSION?) for developing unique programs and groups that will make the multisport experience richer.   We like to think outside the box on this one - fully engage the “What if we did this....” circuitry in the brains of our coaches and staff.

Below you’ll find some or our 2008 programs - all are repeating from 2007. We’ve got a few new ones that we’ll tell you about later too...We’re always looking for ways to IMPROVE and always looking for business partners that would like to come along for the ride.  If you have a business that could benefit from a partnership with us, please contact Patty Swedberg.

Our thanks to our current program SPONSORS who make these programs fly!!!  Find out who they are as you click your way around this site.

Triathlon Training at Lake Meridian- this comprehensive triathlon training program will continue to be a valuable and fun source of training and information.  Multiple coaches answer questions, run, ride, and swim alongside the athletes during training sessions.

3 timed mini-tris help athletes prepare for race day in a real “Tri” environment.

Raise the Hope presented by Kagome Juice Blends is in its 2nd year at Raise the Bar. This year, 23 women have come together to train for triathlons and running events while also lowering their risk of heart disease.  The Raise the Hope gals all have 2 or more risk factors for heart disease - elevated weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, or cholesterol levels, a history of heart disease or stroke in their family, etc.  They meet monthly to share information regarding training and

Team Members have the opportunity to check out brand new Felt S22 time trial bikes and Kona Kula MTB bikes to train and race on.  Often we find that people new to the sport would like to have a chance to get on aerobars but don’t have the opportunity to do so without a lot of hassle.   Our members can rent a bike for a week at a time, and learn what they might like to purchase as their next bike.  Rentals available to team members only.  The 2008 program is sponsored by Felt Bicycles, Speedy Reedy, KONA &  Renaissance Resource Associates.  Find out more Here.

Nutrition, regularly work out together, and compete against the other gals in the program to achieve better health.  The program is generously supported by terrific sponsors such as the Hope Heart Institute, an organization leading the charge in educating our community about heart disease,  and Kagome Juice Blends - which presents to them an easy way to get in 2 servings of fruits and vegies in one delicious bottle.

RTH is unique in that it is a sponsor driven program and the cost per person is set far below the expenses. The difference is covered by our team sponsors who believe in your ability to succeed. Because of this unique opportunity, RTH membership is limited and is byapplication only.

Presenting Sponsor of Raise the Hope is  Kagome Juice Blends.
