Train With Purpose.

RTB is a true multisport team — we swim, bike, run, ride trails, race on Zwift, and show up for each other across all of it. Coached instruction covers the triathlon disciplines. The community takes care of the rest.

Coached Sessions

Structured sessions led by certified coaches, built around triathlon performance. These are what your membership tier unlocks.

Coached Pool Swim

The foundation of every triathlon.

RTB pool sessions are coached from deck — structured sets, technique feedback, and the kind of accountability that makes you a faster swimmer whether you're a beginner or a former competitive swimmer. Sessions run 3× per week (Sep–Jun) and 2× per week (Jun–Aug), year-round.

Your first swim is free
Access: Active — 1×/week. Committed — 2×/week. Premier — Unlimited, including Open Water Wednesdays.

Track Workouts

Speed work that translates to the run leg.

Coached track sessions are structured around real triathlon run performance — not just raw speed. Intervals, tempo sets, drills, and the mental toughness that comes from running hard in a group. All paces welcome.

Access: Active and above — included.

Bike Skills Clinics

Confidence on two wheels.

Handling, cornering, descending, and riding in a pack — RTB runs coached bike skills clinics to make athletes faster and more confident on the bike. Valuable for triathletes, road cyclists, and anyone who wants to ride smarter.

Access: Open to all members. Held monthly through spring and summer — dates announced in Discord.

Open Water Swim

Twenty years of open water swim training

Wednesday evenings from June through September, RTB athletes hit Lake Meridian for coached open water sessions — interval work around a 300-yard buoy course, sighting practice, mass start prep, and the confidence that only comes from time in open water.

RTB Pool School

A dedicated multi-week swim clinic for athletes who want to rebuild their freestyle from the ground up — or take an already solid stroke to the next level. Small groups, rotating stations, video analysis, and individualized feedback every session.

Level 1

Foundational

Build a stroke that actually works.

Designed for newer swimmers or athletes who've been self-coaching and picked up bad habits along the way. Each session breaks down a distinct component of freestyle — body position, breathing, pull, kick — with coached drill work, real-time deck feedback, and video analysis so you can see exactly what's happening in the water.

Video stroke analysis
Rotating drill stations
Small group coaching
Individual written feedback
Level 2

Performance

Refine what you already have.

For swimmers who have the basics dialed but want to get faster, more efficient, and race-ready. The Performance clinic focuses on stroke economy, race-pace sets, open water application, and the fine-tuning that separates good swimmers from great ones. Video analysis and purposeful drills every session.

Video stroke analysis
Stroke efficiency & race pace
Targeted drill progressions
Individual written feedback

What Athletes Are Saying.

From first-time swimmers to athletes who've been racing for years — Pool School and weekly coached swims work.

"

Pool School far exceeded my expectations. The expert coaching was incremental and skill-specific, giving participants time to absorb and practice the various techniques. Highly recommend for beginning to advanced swimmers!

— Amy Barrett

"

I learned more in four sessions of the performance swim class than I did in four years of self teaching. The drills they teach improved my form pretty quickly, and some of the drills are a lot of fun.

— David Riley

"

I had an outstanding experience with RTB Pool School. The coaches break down technique in a clear, actionable way. Seeing my stroke from different angles, combined with detailed feedback, helped me quickly identify areas for improvement I never would have noticed on my own.

— Diane Haensel

"

RTB put on a fantastic program. Lessons were thoughtfully constructed, coaching staff was great, and feedback was individualized for maximum benefit. I am more efficient in the water after the four-week clinic and have clear focus areas to make further gains.

— Dylan Cicero

"

Pool School was a game changer for my swim stroke! The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. I especially appreciated the video analysis — it was eye-opening to actually see my stroke in action. In just four weeks, I was able to improve my stroke count, which I find pretty remarkable.

— Julie Johnston

"

After swimming with the team for a while, I really enjoyed this opportunity to focus on the basics without the pressure of finishing a specific workout. The breakdown of each part of the freestyle was excellent — exactly what I needed to improve on this very technical sport.

— Karen Pratt

Beyond the Coached Sessions

Included with every membership. Group rides, runs, open water swims, Zwift racing, trail running, mountain biking, and swim-run — RTB is a true multisport team. You don't have to be a triathlete to belong here. You just have to love moving and enjoy doing it with people who help you grow.

Group Rides

Group Rides

RTB group rides are team-coordinated with multiple pace groups so no one gets dropped and no one gets bored. Building base fitness or chasing a bike PR — riding with teammates makes the miles go faster.

Group Runs

Group Runs

Team-coordinated group runs are a cornerstone of RTB training — a consistent, social way to build the aerobic base that every endurance athlete needs. Multiple paces, friendly atmosphere.

Group Open Water Swims

Group Open Water Swims

Beyond the coached sessions, RTB gets in the water together. Group open water swims are a great way to build comfort, practice alongside teammates, and enjoy the lakes the Pacific Northwest is famous for.

Zwift Training & Racing

RTB organizes group rides, structured workouts, and team racing on Zwift throughout the year. Stay connected and competitive when the weather or your schedule keeps you indoors.

Mountain Biking

RTB athletes hit the trails together. Whether you're a seasoned singletrack rider or just getting off the road, the team brings mountain biking into the mix as part of a true multisport lifestyle.

Trail Running

Not everything happens on the track. Team trail runs are a staple — good for the legs, great for the head, and a reminder that running is more than just a triathlon discipline.

Swim-Run

RTB embraces the full spectrum of multisport, including swim-run — a discipline that rewards comfort in both water and on foot. A natural fit for a team that trains both all year.

Gravel Riding

The Pacific Northwest was made for gravel. RTB athletes explore the backroads and forest routes together — longer, wilder, and more adventurous than the road. All the fitness, none of the traffic.

Coaches Who Actually Race.

RTB coaches aren't just credentialed — they've toed the start lines themselves. Ironman World Championship finishers, Boston Marathon qualifiers, Olympic Trials competitors. They know the difference between a good training plan and a great race result.

Every coached session is led by someone who understands what it takes across all three disciplines and can translate that into workouts that actually move the needle for age-group athletes.
