It’s easy to assume that Raise the Bar is in the triathlon business....  Actually, we’re in the business of trying to make our community a little better.   There’s no doubt we could attempt to accomplish that in a lot of different ways....bug collecting, macrame, leaf-blowing.....    But life and the powers at be have smiled down on us and have given us TRIATHLON.
About RTB
History
teams

RTB manages the largest, most-participatory Triathlon Team  in the Pacific Northwest.  Our adult members are in their 20’s, 70’s, and everywhere in between.  We are 65% women, and 35% men.  We have athletes that cross the finish line first, last, and every place in between, and at RTB, EVERY athlete is given the same benefits. We value each member for their hard work and participation, and their willingness to represent RTB and our sponsors at the races.

In 2009, RTB opened a new team - RTB Runners - for the folks in our community who have a passion for running.  RTB Runners race in custom shirts and enjoy RTB and sponsor discounts just like the members of our triathlon team.  Many of our friends belong to BOTH!

Along with managing the team, we also produce Triathlon Training. Coached workouts, classes, and clinics can be found throughout the year on the RTB calendar.  Our Summer Training Programs at Lake Meridian and Seward Park are some of the best fun a triathlete can have.

In the last few years, we’ve discovered the great FUN of producing Events.  Our event staff, led by Race Director Toby Mollett, produced the Friday Night Swim Races at Lake Meridian, the XTERRA Black Diamond off-road triathlon (voted the #1 XTERRA in the nation in 2009) and in 2010, the inaugural Lake Meridian Triathlon.  RTB events reflect hospitality, community, and fun.
